What You’ll Do:
- Work alongside the Physiotherapist to support residents in achieving their mobility and rehabilitation goals.
- Help prepare residents and their environment for treatment sessions.
- Assist with one-to-one sessions and group activities under the direction of the Physiotherapist.
- Organise and supervise therapeutic activities, keeping sessions positive and engaging.
- Monitor and report residents' responses to treatment, always ensuring safety and comfort.
- Keep treatment spaces clean, tidy, and in line with health and safety standards.
- Support the management team during inspections and audits when required.
- Build meaningful, respectful relationships with residents, always promoting dignity and equality.
- Be flexible and available to work across a range of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
What We’re Looking For:
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, including modules in Physiotherapy Theory & Practice or Sports & Leisure (preferred).
- Willingness to complete training provided by Sonas, including online learning and mentorship.
- Previous experience working in healthcare or with older people is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, caring approach.
- A genuine interest in helping others and supporting physical wellbeing.
- Full Irish Driver’s License is essential.
